Kathmandu: Siddhartha Bank Limited has handed over QR codes to 50 hoteliers affiliated to the Nepali Hoteliers Association of Gongbu area by organizing a function at the Gongbu branch premises on Friday with the objective of promoting cashless transactions.
Chief Executive Officer of the Bank Shambhunath Gautam, Gongbu Branch Manager Kamin Bahadur Chaulagai, General Secretary of Nepali Hotel Entrepreneurs Association Ganesh Dhakal and hotelier members were present at the event.

With the launch of the QR code service, customers will be able to make payments directly to the hotel operator using their mobile banking app at hotels and lodges under the Nepali Hotel Entrepreneurs Association.
The bank has so far handed over QR codes to 50 hoteliers and plans to continue the work of increasing the number of hotels in the coming days.
The Bank is confident that small and medium entrepreneurs will be encouraged towards digital banking through the program organized with the objective of promoting cashless business and expanding literacy.
