Durga Prasai to Be Taken to Court for Remand Extension

Kathmandu. Medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai, who was arrested under the Electronic Crime Punishment Act, is set to be taken to the district court today for a remand extension.

According to Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Navindra Aryal, head of the Cyber Bureau, after Prasai's medical check-up, the police will seek additional time from the court to continue their investigation.

"We have already brought Prasai to the office. After his medical examination, we will take him to court to request an extension," DIG Aryal told Lokantar.

Although the arrest warrant against Prasai was issued last Wednesday, he was only taken into custody today. The court had issued arrest warrants for Prasai and two other individuals.
