Government Reduces Lunch Break for Civil Servants to 30 Minutes

Kathmandu | In a recent move, the government has shortened the lunch break for employees working in government offices. The decision was announced by Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli on Sunday night through his official Facebook page.
According to the new directive, civil servants' lunch break will now be limited to 30 minutes, instead of the previous one hour. The designated lunch time will be from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM each day.
Prime Minister Oli explained that the lengthy lunch breaks had been causing inconvenience to the public, as services were disrupted for too long. He stated, "It’s important that employees take their lunch, but work should not come to a standstill because of it."
Additionally, the Prime Minister encouraged citizens to report any violations of the new lunch break policy through the 'Hello Sarkar' platform if government employees fail to adhere to the new schedule.
