NEPSE Rises by 11.58 Points, Rs 5 Billion in Transactions

kathmandu | On Sunday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index increased by 11.58 points, reaching a high of 2,642 points during the day. By the close of trading, the index settled at 2,588 points. This rise follows three consecutive days of decline in the stock market.

Shares of 138 companies saw an increase in value on Sunday. Notably, shares of Eastern Hydropower, Atmanirbhar Laghubitta, and Upper Syange Hydropower rose by 10%.

However, 94 companies experienced a drop in their share prices. Investors in companies like Rawa Energy, Sworojgar Laghubitta, and NIC Asia Balanced Fund faced the biggest losses.

A total of Rs 5.09 billion worth of shares were traded on Sunday. According to NEPSE, 12.4 million shares of 325 companies were bought and sold during the day.
