While detectives and scientific officials investigated the incident, Ison Road was closed.
As the individual was working in the Greenbank area at the time, Work Safe Australia has been notified.
The man, according to a police spokesperson, worked as an Energex contractor.
Police are still looking into the event and will write a report for the coroner.
