Kathmandu. The Election Commission chose to recognize the legitimacy of the vote that was cast on November 20 and decided not to hold a re-vote in the Bajura and Syangja 2 constituencies.
The panel further ordered workers to resume the suspended vote counting in both constituencies right away.
Some candidates obstructed the vote count by calling for a repoll and accusing other parties of rigging the polls. However, a few other candidates demanded that the vote count begin right away.
According to Commissioner Ishwari Prasad Paudyal, the decision to recommence the vote count was made at a meeting of the officials.
In a prior instance, the commission made the decision to conduct a new round of voting in Dalakha. Tomorrow has been set aside for the recount.
