On Sunday, in the Martyrs Memorial A Division League match held at Dasharath Rangasala, Tribhuvan Army Football Club and Satdobato Youth Club played a thrilling 3-3 draw.
Despite taking the lead three times in the game, the Army team could not secure the win as Satdobato’s William Asiedu scored a goal in the 85th minute to level the score.
Jilapikar Jung Karki scored two goals for the Army, but they couldn’t secure the victory. Dipak Siwakoti Thakuri, who has been in excellent form in the ongoing league, scored the equalizing goal for Satdobato in the 25th minute. He has scored the most number of goals in the league so far, with a total of six goals.
Jilapikar took the lead in the first half, scoring in the 28th minute to make it 2-1. But Satdobato’s Sardorback scored in the third minute of the second half to level the score 2-2.
In the 52nd minute, the Army took the lead again, with Dipak Gurung scoring a goal. However, they were unable to maintain the lead until the end of the game. Asiedu scored a goal in the 85th minute to equalize the score 3-3.
After the draw, Satdobato moved up to third place in the league with 13 points from seven games, while the Army missed the chance to move up to the top six and are in eighth place with nine points from seven games.
