According to a source from Baluwatar, in the first batting after winning the toss at Tribhuvan Cricket Ground, Kirtipur, Nepal lost all 10 wickets and scored 224 runs within the stipulated 50 overs. Nepal’s opener Kushal Bhurtel scored 62 runs. He played 58 balls, hitting 9 fours and 1 six.

Arif Sheikh contributed 38 runs. Sompal Kami was out for 27 runs. Captain Rohit Paudel’s lethal batting at the home ground marked the start of the three-match ODI series with a thrilling victory for Nepal against the Canadian team.

As the third wicket partnership, Paragat and Nicholas Kirton had raised Canada’s innings to 79 runs. Captain Rohit Paudel scored 50 runs off Lalit Rajbanshi’s bowling, taking a crucial wicket for Nepal.
