Pakistan will not participate in the U-20 SAFF Championship football tournament in Nepal.
According to the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF), Pakistan has withdrawn from the tournament. As a result of Pakistan’s withdrawal, the tournament has been postponed by two days.
Originally, Nepal was scheduled to play Sri Lanka in the opening match on August 16, which corresponds to the 32nd day of the Nepali month of Shrawan.

However, this match will now take place on August 18, which corresponds to the 2nd day of the Nepali month of Bhadra.
With Pakistan’s withdrawal, Nepal’s Group ‘A’ will now include Sri Lanka and Bangladesh. Group ‘B’ will consist of India, Maldives, and Bhutan.
India is the defending champion, and Pakistan was the runner-up. The sixth edition of the tournament will be held at the Dasharath Stadium in Tripureshwar, Kathmandu.
