Kathmandu | Chelsea has clinched victory in the UEFA Women’s Champions League football tournament. They secured a comfortable win over Ajax in the first leg of the quarterfinals with a scoreline of 3-0.
Ji So-yun and Lauren James were the goal-scorers for Chelsea, with So-yun netting twice and James adding one to the tally.
Chelsea dominated both halves of the game, scoring two goals in the first half and one in the second. James opened the scoring for Chelsea in the 19th minute, giving them an early lead, while So-yun doubled the advantage just before halftime in the 44th minute.

In the 83rd minute of the second half, So-yun struck again, securing her personal second goal and sealing Chelsea’s comfortable 3-0 victory.
The second leg of the tie is scheduled to take place at Chelsea’s home ground, Stamford Bridge, on March 15th.
