kathmandu |On Wednesday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) experienced a decline of 3.34 points, settling at 2063.95 points after the drop. Throughout the trading session, NEPSE reached a peak of 2084 points.
Simultaneously, the trading volume also saw a decrease. While the turnover on the previous day amounted to Rs. 3 billion 63 crores, today’s turnover stood at Rs. 3 billion 49 crores. Among the 94 companies listed, the prices of 147 companies declined, while 4 remained stable.
During this trading day, the Microfinance Group observed a 2.5% increase, while the Trading Group saw a slight increase of 0.08%.

Conversely, Banking decreased by 1.9%, Development Bank by 1.4%, Finance by 1%, Hotel and Tourism by 3%, Hydropower by 8.9%, Life Insurance by 5.3%, Non-Life Insurance by 0.3%, Others by 1%, and the Production Group by 9.9%.
Notably, the prices of 4 companies surged by 10%. Gorkha Finance, Buddha Bhumi Nepal Hydropower, Sarbottam Cement, and Gurans Laghubitta witnessed a significant 10% increase in their prices. Sarbottam Cement, recently listed, reached a price of Rs. 672.70. Dhaulagiri Laghubitta observed a 9% increase, while Ganapati Laghubitta saw an 8% rise.
On the other hand, Bottlers Nepal Balaju experienced a decline of 9.3% in its price. Bhagawati Hydropower saw a decrease of 6.6%, Reliance Finance by 3.7%, and Nepal Finance by 3.5%. In terms of trading volume, Sonapur Cement, Shivam Cement, Gorkha Finance, Himalayan Reinsurance, and First Microfinance Company led the way.
