Nepal online patrika , kathmandu | The film ‘Rangeli’ revolves around the main roles played by Dayahang Rai and Miruna Magar. Scheduled for public release from February 25, the film features Dayahang portraying the character named ‘Vijay,’ a gangster.

Vijay is an ordinary person but leads an extraordinary life, driven by his pursuit of money and power. Dayahang explains that these two aspects significantly influence Vijay’s life, as depicted in the film’s storyline.

“In today’s era, youth are also driven by the pursuit of money and power. This is the common mindset,” Dayahang elaborates. “This theme is also present in ‘Rangeli.’ However, there is a difference in the character’s portrayal.”

He further explains, “The characters I have portrayed so far are mostly ‘gray’ characters. These characters exhibit both negative and positive traits. The character in ‘Rangeli’ can also be considered a ‘gray’ character, but when viewed from a common person’s perspective, it appears more ‘dark.'”

The film explores humanity and experiences within Vijay. It showcases how an ordinary person can become extraordinary, a theme often explored in movies.

“Vijay, the gangster, finds satisfaction in being feared by others. For me, this journey was challenging because it allowed me to explore the life journey of Vijay,” Dayahang shares. He expresses that the character of Vijay in ‘Rangeli’ resonated with him.

Arjun Subedi has written and directed ‘Rangeli.’ Besides Dayahang and Miruna, the film features performances by Arpan Thapa, Praveen Khatiwada, Ramesh Budhathoki, Rupesh Jha, Sundar Dhital, among others.

The executive producers of the film are Jeetendra Khatiwada and Anuj Jung Thapa. The producers include Sansar Chaulagain, Ramesh Bhattachan, Yuvak Karki, and Shiv Shankar Chaulagain. Vivek Khadka (Yolo) serves as an associate producer.
