Kathmandu. In a move to provide security and stability to landless families, farmers, and long-time settlers, the Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, and Poverty Alleviation, Balram Adhikari, has distributed land ownership certificates (Lalpurja) to around 1,500 families in the districts of Kapilvastu and Rupandehi.

During the distribution event, Minister Adhikari assured that all landless people, informal settlers, and those living in unplanned settlements will soon receive their land certificates. He also shared that a Land Commission will be formed soon to further address these issues.

The families who have lived for years in areas such as Patna in Ward No. 10 of Banganga Municipality, Badgau in Ward No. 12 of Krishnanagar Municipality, and Minah Dihi in Rohini Gaunpalika, have now received their long-awaited land certificates.
