In the ongoing Global T20 Cricket League in Canada, Nepal’s captain Rohit Kumar Paudel’s team, the Toronto Nationals, has suffered a defeat.
In the match held on Monday morning, Rohit’s team, the Toronto Nationals, was defeated by the Surrey Jaguars by 80 runs. This was the first loss for the Nationals in the current tournament.
Chasing a target of 162 runs, the Toronto Nationals were all out for 80 runs in 17.1 overs. For the Nationals, opener Unmukt Chand scored the highest with 21 runs.

Similarly, Rassie van der Dussen scored 15, Nicholas Pooran added 11, and Nepal’s captain Rohit Kumar Paudel made 10 runs. In bowling, Surrey Jaguars’ Sunil Narine and Marcus Stoinis each took three wickets.
Earlier, after losing the toss and batting first, Surrey Jaguars scored 161 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in their 20 overs. Captain Marcus Stoinis was the top scorer for the Jaguars with 57 runs. Virandeep Singh scored 23, Kyle Mayers added 27, Brendan McCullum contributed 18, and Mohammad Nabi made 13 runs.
For Toronto Nationals, Mohammad Rohit and Junaid Siddiqui each took two wickets, while Romario Shepherd claimed one wicket. Along with captain Rohit, Sandeep Lamichhane and Dipendra Singh Airee also had the opportunity to play in the Global T20.
