Kathmandu. Nepal’s Home Minister Ravi Lamichhane held courteous discussions with Britain’s ambassador, Rob Fenn. Lamichhane expressed gratitude for Britain’s support and collaboration in various areas such as Nepal’s infrastructure development, social upliftment, disaster management, and recruitment of Gurkha soldiers, among others, spanning over a century-long relationship.
He highlighted the expectation of further coordination and cooperation with Britain in strengthening democracy, climate change adaptation, social inclusion, and reducing discrimination and marginalization.
Information was shared with the Home Minister regarding Britain’s assistance in the reconstruction after the earthquake in Jajarkot and plans for new development initiatives.
