Filming Begins for Dayahang Rai and Aanchal Sharma's 'Dukhi Aatma'

Kathmandu | The shooting for the much-anticipated film Dukhi Aatma, starring Dayahang Rai and Aanchal Sharma, has officially begun. Written and directed by Dipendra Lama, the film started filming on Monday across various locations in Kathmandu.
With the launch of the shoot, several behind-the-scenes photos of Dayahang and Aanchal from the set have been released. The film, produced by Himal Kadariya, features a stellar cast including Anup Bikram Shahi, Buddhi Tamang, Pushkar Gurung, Kavita Ale, Shishir Bangdel, Ashant Sharma, Lokendra Lekhak, Ankit Khadka, Lunibha Tuladhar, Aarti Acharya, Nima Pandey, Rear Rai, and Yaseli Yonghang.
Director Lama shared that the entire movie will be shot around the Kathmandu Valley. Producer Kadariya assured fans that no effort will be spared in making Dukhi Aatma a thoroughly entertaining film.
The director-producer duo previously worked together on Nango Gaun, which was a massive hit. Produced under the banner of Clock Work Creations, Dukhi Aatma is a social comedy. The film’s cinematography is handled by Alok Shukla, with music by Sushant Gautam and choreography by Ramji Lamichhane. Sudip Dhakal is managing production for the film.
While the release date is yet to be determined, it will be announced after the completion of the shoot. Dukhi Aatma marks Lama's sixth directorial project, following films like Ghampani, Gopi, Chhakka Panja, Dui Nambari, and Nango Gaun.
“Although we all appear cheerful on the outside, many of us are deeply unhappy inside. The film symbolically portrays this situation on screen,” said director Lama, adding, “I believe the film will present various aspects of human nature."
