kathmandu : Ranbir Kapoor is set to join the next instalment of Yash Raj’s iconic Dhoom franchise. On his 42nd birthday, it has been confirmed that he will take on a negative role in Dhoom 4.
Reports suggest that discussions between Ranbir and the filmmakers have been ongoing for quite some time. Sources reveal that Ranbir has always been interested in the Dhoom series. After hearing the basic concept, he was eager to work on the project, and now it's confirmed that he will be a part of Dhoom 4.
This time, the film will not be a sequel but a reboot of the Dhoom franchise. The storyline will be created from scratch, and fans won’t see familiar faces like Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, who were integral parts of the previous instalments.
Sources also reveal that two young actors will be cast as police officers in this reboot. The script has already been locked, and the team is now focusing on casting.
