Trump says he won’t run again if he loses 2024 US election
Donald Trump said in an interview released on Sunday that he did not think he would run for president again in 2028 if he loses this year

kathmandu | Donald Trump says he will not run again if he loses the 2024 US presidential election. In an interview on Sunday, Trump stated that if he is defeated in the upcoming November election, he won’t contest in 2028.
At 78, Trump is running for president for the third consecutive time as the Republican Party’s nominee. During an interview with Media Group, Trump was asked if he would run again if he lost to Kamala Harris. Trump replied, “No, I don’t think so. I don’t see that happening.”
He expressed hope, saying, “I hope we succeed in this election.” According to US law, a person can serve as president for only two terms, so even if Trump wins, he would not be eligible to run again in 2028.
Trump rarely admits the possibility of defeat, but this marks the second time in four days that he has acknowledged it. On Thursday, during an event with the Israeli-American Council, he said Jewish voters would be partly responsible for any loss. Current election surveys show Kamala Harris leading Trump in several polls.
