Kathmandu | Vivo has officially launched the Vivo V40 in Nepal, marking the first premium smartphone in the country equipped with Zeiss optics. The global technology leader unveiled the Vivo V40 during a grand event at the Hyatt Palace, Kathmandu, in the presence of national distributors and media representatives.

The Vivo V40, developed in collaboration with Zeiss engineers, comes with a professional-grade portrait system, elevating mobile portrait photography to new heights. Users can capture cinematic-quality portraits and videos effortlessly. The phone boasts a slim design, powered by a 5500mAh battery, featuring a high-quality 3D curved screen with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring both stunning visuals and durability.

Designed for professional-level portrait photography, the Vivo V40 meets the high standards set by Vivo and Zeiss. Video enthusiasts will benefit from Zeiss’s Focus Transition feature, which ensures smooth focus changes during video recording, keeping the subject sharp and in focus.

For cinematic video, users can shoot in a 2.39:1 aspect ratio, creating an artistic film-like experience. On the photography front, the phone includes a 50-megapixel Zeiss OIS main camera with a Samsung ISOCELL GNJ sensor and a large f/1.88 aperture, which allows for clear portrait shots even in low light. The optical image stabilisation (OIS) reduces blurriness and ensures bright and clear photos. The phone’s unique portrait features include Zeiss-style bokeh effects, an AI Aura Light Portrait feature for professional lighting, and AI 3D studio lighting for indoor and backlit portraits.

In addition to its impressive photography capabilities, the Vivo V40 excels in design and performance. It is Vivo’s thinnest phone yet, at just 7.58mm thick, with a 3D curved screen and a 5500mAh battery. The screen offers a 120Hz refresh rate and brightness of 4500 nits, 60.7% brighter than previous models, making it easy to use even in bright sunlight. The phone is available in two attractive colours: Moon White and Nebula Purple, with an AG fluorite shimmer and anti-fingerprint coating.

Powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 3, the Vivo V40 features 12GB + 12GB of extended RAM, allowing for smooth app switching and ample memory for handling large files. The 5500mAh Blue Volt battery supports 80W flash charging, offering long-lasting use with quick recharging. It also has IP68 and IP69 ratings, protecting it from dust and water in various environments.

Priced at NPR 65,999, the Vivo V40 is available for pre-booking from September 20 to September 24, 2024. Pre-booking customers will receive a free pair of earbuds and a three-month screen replacement guarantee. The phone will be available for purchase starting September 25, 2024, in major retail stores across Nepal and on Daraz.
