Israel Strikes Hezbollah Headquarters in Lebanon

kathmandu | Israel continues airstrikes targeting Hezbollah positions in Lebanon. On Saturday morning, Israeli forces carried out an airstrike on a Hezbollah location in southern Beirut. In a statement, the Israeli military confirmed that the head of Hezbollah's missile unit, Mohammad Ali Ismail, was killed in the attack.

In addition to Mohammad Ali Ismail, his assistant, Hussein Ahmed Ismail, was also killed in the Israeli strikes. The Israeli military claims that Mohammad Ismail was behind several rocket attacks on Israel.

Previously, Hezbollah’s missile and rocket force chief, Mohammad Kabisi, along with other top commanders, had also been killed in Israeli attacks. On Friday, Israel launched a major airstrike in Lebanon, targeting several buildings. Many structures were destroyed, and ongoing rescue efforts are likely to increase the death toll.

The airstrikes followed warnings from Israel, instructing Lebanese citizens to evacuate many buildings that Israel claimed were being used by Hezbollah. On Friday, Israeli forces also targeted Hezbollah’s headquarters in Beirut, causing the collapse of multiple high-rise buildings.

Report suggest that the primary target of these attacks is Hezbollah leader Hassan Nasrallah. However, the Israeli military has refused to comment on whether he was the direct target. Various reports speculate about Nasrallah's condition, but no clear information has emerged.
