Nepal Caught in International Geopolitical Conflict, Hard to Manage: Rabindra Mishra

Kathmandu – Senior Vice President of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, Rabindra Mishra, claims that Nepal is caught in the midst of international geopolitical conflicts, making it difficult to manage the country. Speaking at an event in Kathmandu on Monday, he expressed concerns over the challenges Nepal is facing due to this situation.

Mishra criticised the current political parties, stating that they are in a deep moral crisis, and warned that the nation is being handed over to the next generation in an unliveable state.

He pointed out that corruption has spread to every level after federalism was introduced. “During the Panchayat era, corruption was somewhat limited to the palace. After the multi-party system, it spread to Singha Durbar and 75 districts,” he said. “Now, under the republic, corruption has reached every ward.”

Mishra noted that nearly 24% of the national budget is spent on federalism and highlighted the instability in leadership. “In just 21 months, we’ve had 24 chief ministers and 255 ministers. We are sinking to a new low in moral crisis,” he added.

With China and India growing more powerful, Mishra believes that international geopolitics is shifting towards Asia. He said, “It’s becoming increasingly difficult to manage this country. No matter how hard we try, it’s a tough situation to handle.”
