kathmandu | Real Madrid secure a 4-1 victory over Espanyol in the Spanish La Liga.

The match, played at Real's home ground, remains goalless in the first half. However, despite falling behind due to an own goal, Madrid make a strong comeback to claim the win. Espanyol take the lead in the 54th minute when Real’s goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois concedes an own goal. But that lead doesn’t last long.

In the 58th minute, Dani Carvajal equalises for Real. Then, Rodrigo scores in the 75th minute, followed by Vinicius Junior’s goal in the 78th, pushing Madrid to a 3-1 lead. Kylian Mbappe seals the win with a penalty goal in the 90th minute.

With this win, Real Madrid now have 14 points from six matches, placing them second in the table. They have won four games and drawn two. Barcelona, who have played one game less, sit at the top with 15 points, maintaining a perfect record from five matches.
