Seven Arrested in Butwal During Protest Supporting Durga Prasai

Kathmandu – Police have detained seven individuals on Monday during a protest in Butwal in support of medical entrepreneur Durga Prasai, who is currently in police custody.

The protest was organised by the Citizen Protection Campaign of Lumbini Province, and the arrests were made at Milan Chowk, according to DSP Bijay Pandit of the Area Police Office, Butwal. The detained individuals are currently being held at the Butwal Area Police Office.

The protesters had planned to block the road from Highway Chowk to Milan Chowk, but police intervened and detained them before they could carry out the road blockade.
