Kathmandu: Under its new Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) action plan, the party has selected 20 individuals under the age of 40 as central committee members. This decision was part of the plan to induct young members into the central working committee.
A selection committee, led by Senior Leader and Vice President Dhruv Bahadur Pradhan, was formed to interview and evaluate candidates based on various criteria. After the interview process, the committee chose 10 men and 10 women for the party's central committee, according to party spokesperson and head of the publicity department, Mohan Kumar Shrestha.
Among the 10 men selected are Ashok Singh Samrat from Darchula, Lokendra Kunwar from Kailali, Binod Shrestha from Kathmandu, Arun Giri from Kaski, Engineer Gopi Krishna Chaulagain from Sindhupalchok, Shiv Kumar Chaudhary from Dang, Ravi Kiran Hamal from Surkhet, Nawatita Kumar Mishra from Western Nawalparasi, Samir Sharma from Kathmandu, and Dr. David Thapa from the UK.
For the 10 women, the selected members include Bina Lama from Dhading, Bina Jaiswal from Parsa, Laxmi (Nani) Thapa from Sindhupalchok, Najiya Khatun Miya from Sunsari, Engineer Sajeena Karki from Lalitpur, Anisha Nepali from Salyan, Regina Shrestha from Tanahun, Engineer Deepa Shrestha from Kavrepalanchok, Miss Nepal World 2024 Ashma Kumari KC from Kathmandu, and Tara Jaisi from Humla.
