Moderate Rain in Kathmandu Valley, More Expected
The water levels in rivers such as Bagmati, Manohara, Bishnumati, Dhobikhola, Hanumante, Godavari, and Balkhu are nearing warning levels.
Kathmandu – Moderate rainfall is currently occurring in the Kathmandu Valley. According to the Meteorological Forecasting Division, all rain gauge stations in the valley have recorded moderate rainfall in the past three hours, and more rain is expected.
The water levels in rivers such as Bagmati, Manohara, Bishnumati, Dhobikhola, Hanumante, Godavari, and Balkhu are nearing warning levels. With rising water levels, the Flood Forecasting Division has urged those living near riverbanks and travellers to remain highly cautious.
Apart from a few areas, most parts of the country are experiencing continuous rain, with heavy rainfall in some regions. Several rivers and streams have already seen flooding, as reported by the Weather Forecasting Division.
