Kathmandu | Hindus across the country are celebrating Vishwakarma Puja today, a festival dedicated to Lord Vishwakarma, the divine architect.

The day is marked by the worship of tools, machinery, and workshops, with a traditional belief that this ritual brings longevity, smooth functioning, and efficiency to work equipment.

From early morning, vehicle owners have been seen washing and decorating their cars, bikes, and public transport with ribbons and colourful flags before performing rituals.

Public vehicles, too, have been cleaned and adorned, creating a festive atmosphere on the roads. The faithful believe that through these prayers, their tools and vehicles will remain in good condition, avoiding breakdowns and ensuring success in work throughout the year.
