Stock Market Falls by 57 Points, NEPSE Index Drops to 2580
The NEPSE index falls by 57 points to 2580, with 227 companies seeing declines, while a few like Atmanirbhar Laghubitta and Himalayan Hydro Power post gains of around 10%.

Kathmandu | On Monday, the Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index experiences a sharp decline, dropping by 57 points. The market, which starts at 2636 points, closes at 2580 points, marking a halt in trading for the day.
Earlier, on 10th July, the index had dropped to 2568 points. After that, the market saw a rise, reaching a peak of 3000 points by the 14th of August. However, since hitting 3000 points, a market correction has been observed.
A total of 312 companies trade 17 million shares today, with a total transaction value of NPR 7.36 billion. Out of the companies, 227 see a decline in share prices, while 14 companies experience a rise. The share prices of 3 companies remain unchanged.
Notably, the shares of Atmanirbhar Laghubitta, Himalayan Hydro Power Limited, and Jautthan Community Laghubitta increase by around 10%. On the other hand, companies like Goodwill Finance, Tristar Hydropower, and Nepal Finance Limited experience the highest losses.
