NEPSE index dropped by 59 points to 2,529 with a trading volume of NPR 5.66 billion; 229 companies saw declines, led by Nepal Finance Limited with NPR 211.3 million in trades, and Himalayan Hydropower rose by 9%.
kathmandu | The stock market index (NEPSE) has decreased by 59 points. Trading, which started on Monday at 2,607 points, has steadily declined, pushing the index down to 2,529 points.
As the market falls, trading volume has also decreased. Today, a total of 13.5 million shares from 329 companies were traded, with transactions amounting to NPR 5.66 billion.
Shares of 229 companies have fallen in value, while 14 companies saw a rise, and one company remained unchanged. Nepal Finance Limited leads the market in terms of transaction volume, with trades worth NPR 211.3 million. CEEDB Hydropower follows in second place, with trades worth NPR 133.9 million.
Himalayan Hydropower's share price increased by 9%, while Excel Development Bank saw an 8% rise. No other companies that gained today saw their prices rise above 6%.
The index for all subgroups listed on Monday has declined.
