kathmandu | The CPN Unified Socialist Party is currently in the process of restructuring its organisation and reassigning responsibilities among its leaders.
The party is preparing to finalise the structure of its various departments and commissions, while also making changes to the in-charge positions for both geographical and class-based organisations. During the party's 10th National Congress, all previous committees were dissolved.
The Congress has now nominated members of the former politburo committee to the central committee. A total of 105 politburo members, including 18 central office bearers, were elected through the formal process.
The party is yet to form its central secretariat, but all central office bearers will be moved to the standing committee. To ensure a smooth distribution of responsibilities, a task force led by party chairman Madhav Nepal has been set up.
This task force will assign duties to leaders based on their contributions and capabilities, covering positions from departmental heads to district in-charges. Once the division of responsibilities is complete, the party plans to launch programmes across the country to strengthen the organisation, including meetings and training sessions, according to party secretary Som Prasad Pandey.
