No More Employees to Be Left Without Responsibilities: Government Decision

Kathmandu – In a meeting chaired by Chief Secretary Ek Narayan Aryal, the Government of Nepal has decided that no government employee will be left without assigned responsibilities. This decision was made during a meeting of secretaries held on Monday.

The meeting has decided to assign duties to all employees within seven days, according to the approved organisational structure. Every employee currently working in their designated posts will be provided with clear job descriptions and responsibilities within this timeframe.

Furthermore, all ministries, departments, and offices are instructed to update the records of their staff positions and employees within seven days and submit them to the Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration.

Until these updates are completed, ministries managing staff services have decided not to initiate any new transfers. The meeting also decided that employees who have already been transferred will be given their official release immediately.

To streamline the transfer process, the meeting has directed the Ministry of General Administration to present a set of guidelines and action plans to the Secretary overseeing governance reforms in the Prime Minister's Office within 15 days.
